History
Re aga mo Corpus go ya pele
Corpus Christi is a Catholic Parish which was established in 1982 by the then Bishop of Gaborone, the late Emeritus Tshosa Setlalekgosi. At first the parishioners worshipped at Broadhurst Primary School; two years later, they moved to Sebotho Modisi Centre (SMC), where they remained until they were able to relocate to their present premises at Plot 15631. The church has about 700 members who attend the mass during weekend masses.
Since its establishment, the parish has been served by different priests over the years, each contributing to its pastoral growth and spiritual development. During this time, the congregation has experienced significant growth, increasing by over 100%. Today, Corpus Christi Parish has an active and vibrant community of approximately 700 members who regularly attend weekend Masses, reflecting the parish’s continued growth, unity, and commitment to building a strong Catholic community rooted in faith and service.
