Catechists

Catechists

Catechists in the Catholic Church are committed members of the parish who teach and guide children, youth, and adults in the teachings of the faith. Their role is to prepare candidates for the sacraments such as Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and RCIA by helping them understand Scripture, Church doctrine, moral values, and Christian living. Beyond formal instruction, catechists serve as witnesses of faith, nurturing spiritual growth, encouraging prayer, and supporting families in raising disciples rooted in Catholic beliefs and values.
